Michelle Hoover

Dear Partners,

As we close out the year, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for making 2024 an exceptional year for our partner ecosystem and Cloudera. One highlight was definitely EVOLVE24. This  7-city global tour convened customers, thought leaders, and partners and immersed them in the evolving world of data and AI. This would not have been possible without our amazing sponsors and your unwavering support. Thank you!

Another highlight was our recent participation at AWS re:Invent where Cloudera showcased innovations that empower businesses to harness the full potential of AWS for data and AI. Find more details below.

In this final newsletter of 2024, we bring even more innovation and collaboration, as well as exciting announcements, and great reads. You’ll meet Matt Rollender, Cloudera’s new VP of Cloud Partners, you’ll  learn how we are using AI for good, and find must-read columns from Cloudera’s Dennis Duckworth and Jerome Alexander.

Let’s finish strong and continue our work together!

In Partnership,

Michelle

Looking back At AWS re:Invent 2024

By Dennis Duckworth

Until this year, I never attended an AWS re:Invent conference but I had always heard it described as a tradeshow like no other. I saw it as a unique opportunity to develop some of those “1+1=3” partnership opportunities I discussed in previous newsletters. I also saw it as a fertile ground for discovering and cultivating new partnerships to further support one or more of our corporate pillars (Enterprise AI, Hybrid, Modern Data Architecture). Finally, as a marketer, it gave me insight into how other companies craft their messaging and how effectively it drives interest and visitors to their booths.

What truly stood out to me most was the strong partner participation. We collaborated with NVIDIA during our Lightning Session and an AI Inference demo, co-hosted Mission Cloud’s  IGNITE24 networking event, hosted a RAG session focused on Amazon Bedrock and held exploratory and marketing planning meetings with other partners. And, of course, all of our work for re:Invent helped further our AWS partnership.

I look forward to working with these partners again—and with even more of you. See you at our next event!

The Risk Of Ignoring Partnership Routes In Your Sales Strategy 7 Dangers And 4 Actionable Insights For Sellers

By Jerome Alexander

Direct sales teams often perceive working with partners and exploring various routes to market as a risky venture. However, this apprehension can hinder sustainable growth and success. Whether engaging with Resellers (RSIs), Global Systems Integrators (GSIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs), or Managed Service Providers (MSPs), it's crucial to recognize that partnerships are not just a necessity but a powerful asset. Instead of fearing the complexities of collaboration, sales teams should embrace these relationships to enhance their market strategies and drive revenue expansion. Read the full article.
