Luis Quintela joined Samsung SDS in November 2013 as Sr. Manager for Big Data Analytics, a member of the office of the CTO. Luis is responsible for defining adoption strategy of Big Data technologies, identifying new business opportunities in this space, and working with Silicon Valley start-ups on partnership opportunities. Before joining Samsung, Luis spent 10 years playing multiple roles in the services organization of IBM's Software Group, including Lead Architect, WW Practice Lead, and Services Manager. He earned his B.Sc. in Computer Science and his M.Sc. in Distributed Systems and Parallel Architectures from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
