Cloudera Navigator is designed to address these challenges.

Capabilities of Cloudera Navigator

• Data Audit and Access Control – Verify appropriate user/group permissions and report on data access for files (HDFS), records (HBase) and metadata (Hive)

Cloudera Navigator 1.0 – Data Audit & Access Control

The first release of Cloudera Navigator (v1.0) was developed specifically to address data security concerns most typically associated with highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare and government. It includes a full suite of auditing capabilities across all CDH components that store data. Cloudera Navigator 1.0 is available through the Navigator subscription, an optional upgrade from Cloudera Enterprise.
